Payments are the moment of truth in insurance, the company’s image and its reputation on the market. We haven’t got any claims record yet, and we still have to establish a reputation of a reliable partner. But even today we are able to guarantee a professional approach, timely service and integrity in claims settlement.
We do not invent anything that could make things difficult for our clients.
Step 1. Notice
Please, submit your notice of loss by e-mail to claims@rnrc.ru or fax +7 495 730 44 79.
Such notice shall contain:
- reinsurance contract number;
- insured under direct (original) contract of insurance;
- date of loss;
- description of known (as of the date of notice submission) causes and/or circumstances of loss;
- amount of reported loss (if known) and/or outstanding claims reserve (if any) established by the insured;
- description of actions taken and/or planned by the reinsured to settle the loss;
- contact information of the reinsured in case of urgent issues.
We recommend using the notice form (it contains everything that it is required).
You will receive a confirmation of notice receipt with the registration within 24 hours.
Step 2. Settlement
Conditions (method) of settlement will be as specified in the reinsurance contract.
Follow the Fortunes doctrine implies that RNRC is bound by the decisions of the reinsured regarding the payment of settled claims and the amount of loss under the original contract of insurance. Claims Cooperation Clause can be applied in addition in respect of methodological support of the cedent and advisory support in case of complicated issues.
Claims Cooperation doctrine requires notification of RNRC of any loss, and RNRC will define the degree of its control over settlement at its own discretion in each specific case. The cedent shall provide RNRC with all data, materials, documents and any information obtained by it related to the claim settlement, and RNRC may participate in the reported loss consideration in an advisory capacity.
Loss Control doctrine implies that the loss is settled under the overall control of RNRC; all claim settlement decisions or decisions taken in respect of losses exceeding the loss amount stated in the contract shall be agreed with RNRC.
Step 3. Payment
Payments are made to the cedent or another beneficiary specified by the latter in accordance with the terms and conditions of the reinsurance contract.
