Reinsurance Premiums of Russian National Reinsurance Company Amounted to 8.8 Billion Rubles in 9 Months of 2018

In 9 months of 2018, the amount of reinsurance premium earned by Russian National Reinsurance Company was 8.8 billion rubles, which is 68% higher than that earned for the same period in 2017. Overall, our Company received 10,315 offers this year, 60% of which were accepted. Contracts, in which the share of Russian National Reinsurance Company exceeds 10%, total 40% of the Company’s portfolio by the amount of reinsurance premium earned.

In comparison to the previous year, the share of premium income from property and construction and erection risks insurance dropped from 54% to 40% due to growth of the share of premium income from motor insurance, marine insurance, cargo insurance, and international business. The total amount of premium earned on international business was 440 million rubles or 5% of the insurance portfolio. Within the structure of the Company’s international business, property reinsurance contracts of legal entities and construction and erection risks reinsurance contracts total 71%, while aircraft risks account for 16% and spacecraft risks – for 11%.

Net profit of Russian National Reinsurance Company for 9 months of 2018 amounted to 1.1 billion rubles.


Russian National Reinsurance Company Joint-Stock Company was established pursuant to Federal Law No. 363-FZ dated July 3, 2016 “On Amending the Law of the Russian Federation ‘On Organization of Insurance Business in the Russian Federation’" by decision of the Board of Directors of its sole founding member, the Central Bank of Russia, who owns 100 percent of the company stock. The Company’s paid-up authorized capital is RUR 21.3 billion. Reinsurance License PS No. 4351 dated October 12, 2016. ACRA rating: ААА (RU), Stable outlook. In 2017, RNRC posted RUR 7.6 billion in premiums.
